Continuous Cut PolicyUpdated 3 months ago

Please see below for details on our continuous cut policy. Note this policy applies to each separate product on the order:

  • Fabrics: up to 20 yds guaranteed continuous for most fabrics. The only exceptions are listed below:
  • Some higher-end specialty fabrics: Including X-Pac, Liteskin, Venom, MTN Reflector Stretch Mesh, Tyvek, and Non-Printed Dyneema Composite Fabrics - Up to 9 yds guaranteed continuous
  • Pattern-Printed Dyneema: All printed Dyneema fabrics are manufactured in non-continuous sheets and thus this policy does not apply
  • Polartec: Up to 10 yards guaranteed continuous.
  • OutdoorINK® prints: Up to 5 yds guaranteed continuous
  • 3D Spacer Mesh: Up to 6 feet guaranteed continuous.
  • Insulation: Up to 5 yards guaranteed continuous.

Components:

  • DCF Tapes: Unfortunately, we cannot make multiple sections of DCF tapes continuous for any length. Sections can easily be overlapped when bonding longer joints/seams
  • Zipper: Up to 25 ft guaranteed continuous
  • Cordage/Webbing: If you're ordering multiple sections and need a single continuous piece, please put a note on your order and we'll cut it continuously if we can. (*100 ft max continuous cut).

*IMPORTANT note on Fabrics: 20 yds is the maximum length of ANY standard cut and folded fabric item unless a shorter length is noted above. This means that our standard procedure will be to cut ALL fabrics at 20 yds and then make a separate cut for any additional length. For example, if you order 24 yards, you will receive a 20-yard cut, and a 4-yard cut.

If you are ordering larger amounts and have specific cut requirements, we can make cuts that work for you, but you MUST list these requests in the notes section of the order. These notes can be added on the cart page.

Example: Say you're making 3 tarps out of 1.1 oz Silpoly. You're going to need 24 yds total in materials, but you plan on cutting the 24 yds into 3 x 8 yd cuts. To ensure that you don't get an unworkable splice, you would need to put "3 x 8 yds 1.1 oz Silpoly" into the notes section of the order.

We will NOT cut the 24 yds into 3 x 8 yd cuts, but we will make cuts that work for your requirements. For instance, if your note says "3 x 8 yds 1.1 oz Silpoly" we will cut and ship a 16-yard cut, and an 8-yard cut, for a total of 24 yards.

Outside of fabric, we always attempt to give a continuous cut if reasonably possible despite the length. That being said, splices are inherently present in materials due to the manufacturing process. Unless otherwise notified, all orders will be cut per the above policy

Thanks in advance for your understanding and please let us know if you have any questions before ordering. Thanks.
